thanks for all your patient replies. I used Tamil key extension for firefox to type the above sentence. seems like it uses Unicode encoding. I have no problems viewing TSCII characters. But only in unicode, உகர், எகர and ஐகார உயிர்மெய் letters arent displayed properly. While the consonant displays properly, the symbol for vowel appears after the consonant, it doesnt merge with the previous letter.
I am having this problem with other sites also, wherever unicode encoding is used. I run XP and i have lata font installed in my system as well. Is this the issue that you mentioned with older PCs?
