The unit has quite a few who are working with Vijay for the first time. The director, the cinematographer … “Shriya,” he volunteers with a smile. “What I like about her is her commitment. As she doesn’t know the language, she asks for her dialogue the previous day, learns the meaning and pronunciation and comes prepared for the scenes the next morning,” he compliments. And A.R.Rahman is also fairly new to a Vijay film. “He’d done music for my ‘Udaya’ earlier. [The film with Simran had faced problems and the delay cost dearly.] He’s already given us three songs, out of which we’ve canned one at Karaikkudi — a family song that has a group dance, with Shriya and me.” For the duets, the unit will travel to Russia and Mauritius.

ATM team to shoot in Kazakhstan
IndiaGlitz [Monday, July 30, 2007]
Director Bharathan will shoot a romantic duet featuring Shriya and Vijay in Kazakhstan.
Set to tunes by A R Rahman, the song will feature scores of dancers shaking their legs with Vijay and Shriya.
Recently, a song with Vijay and Namitha for Azhagiya Tamil Magan was canned in Phuket Islands near Bangkok.
ATM, which is based on a story by Jeeva, is about a youth, who possess Extra Sensory Perception (ESP).
A major portion of the movie has been completed
so three songs are already composed: thiruvhiza, one song with namitah, an another with shreya in kazakhstan  8-)
are there 5 songs in the movie?
u forgot vijay sing a song in atm!!Quote:

to tell u guys the truth, im never looking foward to this album, its gonna have Vijay flavour all over it, and i hardly liked his songs, except a few old numbers... i just have a feeling this album is gonna be a very medicore 1.... dunno y.... :(
this song sounds like heavy beat athiradee type song. I really want a lot of melodies  its been a while since we have had an ARR album with melody dominating. the last good one was i think KKS but because of the stupid picturizations and the crappy screenplay, the songs werent heard by many... another thing i noticed with ARR's songs is that, with melodies if the song starts with the same word repeating twice, it becomes an insane hit. It is true with 99% of those songs. anyone else notice this??Quote:

i am still waiting for an album with atleast 3 melodies in the league of snehidane, munbe vaa, and mayilirage and two beat oriented ones and an innovative one like style etc.
Album will release next month.

Guys read this news ! Rahman didnt like Kuthu song lolzzz
"When I hear the very word kuthu song, it makes me angry"
What kind of tune in store for us in ATM... can Vijay survive without kuthu song ? :P
remember balleleikka was supposed to be a kuthu song of some sort but ARR made it bhangara, so ARR will think of something for sure.Quote:

now vijay has been conferred with the Dr, title :), sathyabama university is making a mockery of Doctorate title imho.. Kamal will surely feel embarassed with the rate at which sathyabama university is giving out Doctorate titles
Soon we will see Simbu also being conferred with a Doctorate :D

After shooting for a song sequence in Thailand with Namitha for Azhagiya Tamil Magan (ATM), Vijay along with Shriya will fly off to Switzerland to shake his leg to shoot for a romantic duet in catchy locales of Switzerland.
Switzerland is turning out to be a preferred destination for Tamil producers now. Vishal along with Priyamani recently shot for a song sequence in Switzerland. Buzz is that director Susi Ganesan is planning to shoot some portions of his movie Kandasamy starring Vikram and Shriya in Swiss.
ATM is directed by debutant director Bharathan.
Bharathan has previously worked with Vijay in Ghilli as both an Assistant Director and dialogue writer. This movie has been generating lot of expectations since Vijay and A R Rahman are joining hands and it's Vijay's 45th movie.
a melody number :DQuote:
