after devoting her life to carnatic music and being so affected by it, a movie song is not that special... I mean the sophistication and complexity and beauty of a carnatic song cannot be matched by vaseegara whether it brought her to limelight or not. on the other hand, narumugayae was on par with a carnatic song and she did a totally amazing job and i think she was glad to have sung it.

i completely agree with u. but some carnatic musicians are like that. it is very hard to please them with music other than carnatic because they are drenched from head to toe with that stuff (not that it is a bad, thing, but ya u r right, they should be open-minded and appreciate things that are good).

now go read my above posts. i think i even said that i will give up listening to ARRs music, if this was true since i certainly knew it wasnt by ARR. and the CGI work done looks like it is professional not like amateur mayilirage :lol: or even sonaalum ketpathillai. this director will reach sky high and we can certainly see him acting with ARR again. now when is the audio going to be out?

true... :D i just got abit dizzy reading the 'reusing' thing again after such a horrible experience in 2001 with Star and Alli Arjuna.....

still no news on the release date of the audio huh.... couldnt bare to listen to any latest Tamil songs..... so dull and stale....

ya lol... arr will never let star and alliarjuna happen again.. those were nightmares even tho the songs were top class, it didnt sound good simply because we were used to hindi.

There were similar rumours with Godfather and even Sivaji (Khalbali -> Vaaji Vaaji) too. The re-usages that happened so far have been mostly due to request from the directors themselves. So far reports on Kala Prabhu are showing lots of promise. I don't think he will settle with a re-usage for his much hyped debut.
