There is too much hype going on about the number of theatres in Kerala. End of the day this is a tamil movie and we should be proud of tamil nadu figures and not other states or overseas.
But a movie that is not of the native language releasing in more theatres than their own movies is no mean featQuote:

In Madurai it's a 50-50. Big Cinemas,TamilJeya,Mani Impala are key theatres for Veeram. Thangaregal,Meenakshi,Devi Kalaivani are on par with others.Quote:

Though one should wait till tomorrow to know about the Jilla Vs Veeram battle, here is the small recap on the past clashes to be precise lets revisit the history now ....
2001 Pongal - Dheena VS Friends :
Both Dheena and Friends did a solid business at the box office. Dheena was a mass entertainer and gave a big break in Ajith's career, of course a hit director AR Murugadoss has been introduced with Dheena.
