Watching OZ batsman struggles in SA puts efforts of VVS/Sach at Durban/Capetown and with VVS being the only batsman to score a 50 in the entire Durban test into perspective ..Sach rates is Capetown knock his best in the last decade but then to go and surrender meekly to Barbie of all bowlers is :banghead: :banghead::banghead:.. going by this trend I can see Twatto tormenting our batsman in OZ tour.

Pat cummins...best OZ bowler on view today ..clocked 145kph and he is only 18  nalla varuva rasa
339/10 . Steyn 41 . This guy is a pain in the ass both with the ball and the bat 8-). 310 will be the target for Aus. 57 overs remain in the day and the forecast for tomorrow is complete rain I heard.
You've got to be kidding me. Was-ton bowled 2nd ball.
As much as i accept the fact that i dont like ricky ponting, I feel it would be great if he plays a match winning innings against the saffers in one of his last matches(if not this i believe the indian series will be his last). A true legend of the game , i believe he would need a good sendoff.
As i say this ricky has walked into the field.....
Ricky Ponting walks in, is this the last time?
crookinfo.
 I do have a bad feeling that Ponting is gong to win this match for Aussies..
Yes, Ricky's renaissance starts today. Perfect masala movie. Hero battered to the pulp, lands one punch and revitalised, dhwamsam pannufies the rest. Bad news for India: 1) Ricky back to form thereby revitalising Aus batting 2) they have found a pace bowler! So, India to lose inOz and England fans to compare that with their 3-1 win last year against out of form Ricky and lack of good bowling options. VayiRu eriyudhu - the anglo saxon Cricket Gods are at work again arranging everything in favour of England
no jinxing..Ponting deserves a better send off also with no viable replacements he might play until next Ashes
I am not jinxing - I am just pondering at how England always get weakened opponents and their competitors get the opponents in best form. England is so lucky...
we have to admire the ECB's planning before the tour..bleddy BCCI should prepare a green top

This is why Steyn is not in the same class as Andersen - while Andersen delivered in all inninga against Ponting, Kallis, Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman, Steyn is broken down the moment a player like Ricky shows his class. Ricky's match-winning knock tomorrow will crown Andersen as the best fast bowler of our times ahead of the insipid Steyn.
Proteas last home series victory was against Windies/Bangla which was 4 years ago
I have a gut feeling that Aus will win this match...
^yep..Khawaja mere Khawaja is batting beautifully..The Yuvi watch and learn
What is wrong with 'offering light' like the good old days? (Thorpe in Karachi )
Ponting-Clarke would have stayed on to play.
Though he was thadaving, it has been an innings of grit thus far. Kamaan Ponting.

The Oracle is refilling the ink as we speak to write on Punter's comeback trail :-D
btw did you see Sangakkara catching Imran Farhat?
Whatay lovely piece of keeping.

India at 117 will not gain any points if it loses the 3rd test against WI. It will gain one point if 3rd test is a draw. India will gain 2points if it wins the 3rd test.
SA will gain 4 points if it wins the 2nd test. SA will gain 2 points if the 2nd test is a draw.
SA will lose 2 points if Aus win tomorrow.
^ India will lose points when this year cycle ends..we need a home test series against SL/Pak to gain some points..
it is calculated over 3 years..less points for the first two years and more points for series victories in the current year..for instance from the new cycle the points we gained over 2-0 result against OZ at home 2010 would be halved. Yet another Anglo-Saxon conspiracy :)
^ saar why this kolaveri..can't stand yet another whitewash :(
kolai veri ellam illeng.. just like 2003 series for Waugh, this will have to be Ponting's final series.. Ponting illatha team'a adichittu peruma pada mudiyathu... :-)
^naama erukura nelaimaki I would gladly take pontingless overseas series victory in OZ.
no wizzy.. we will definetly do well this time... batsmen injury aagama irukkanum... everyone is in good form now...
England series ellam kanakkula varathu... remba injury'a pochu...
If Barbie can torment our bats I can see Twatto/Mitchell doing the same..I sincerely hope Sach gets 100th 100 off his back before the OZ series..failing which I can see the oracle smiling wickedly at the prospect of yet another article in cricinfo :)
:rotfl2:
ut, I share RR's views.. We will do well in Aus.. and I want Ponting to be in team when we win..
with Injuries to Watson and Marsh added with his (half) century he is bound to be in the team for more time...maybe his presence will add to our advantage. :D
I don't think it will be easy for India in Aus.
Did you watch Shaun Marsh-Michael Clarke in the first test first innings? (of course nobody watched the second innings, oru tea saaptu varadhukkuLLa mudinju pOchchu)
Much rests on Zaheer.
Plus their bowling will be stronger when they are back home.
