Rajini Brithday Special

The private television channel SS Music is conducting a one-week special show to celebrate Super Star Rajinikanth’s birthday on December 12. The television channel planned several programs and will dedicate the 9:30 pm slot exclusively for the star from December 7th to 12th.

On December 7, 2009, a program that will have Rajini’s fans and film personalities share their experiences about the actor.

On December 8, 2009 the program will highlight how the actor achieved the present status after a humble beginning.

On December 9, 2009 there will be a show on some interesting facts about the Rajini’s fans and how they shower the love on their idol.

On December 10, 2009, a survey conducted in several parts of the city on who the next Super Star is.

On December 11, 2009 a debate on real Rajini versus reel Rajini.

SS Music promises a very different show on the grand finale that will be aired on December 12, 2009.

My Cousin Bro is born on the same day, er obviously nearly 40 years younger :)

Rajini and Kamal to get their awards

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will receive the State award under the best actor category on December 8, 2009. While Rajini will receive the award for his performance in Sivaji, Kamal gets the award for Dasavatharam. The function is to be held at the University of Madras Centenary Auditorium in which the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi will hand over the awards to the actors, directors and technicians.

For the year 2007, the best film award goes to Sivaji. The second and third awards have been bagged by Mozhi and Pallikoodam. A special prize goes to Periyar.

For the year 2008, Dasavatharam has been selected as the best film. While Abhiyum Naanum has bagged the second prize, Santhosh Subramaniam will be awarded the third prize. Meiporul bagged the special prize.

கமலா தியேட்டர் வளாகத்தில் புதிதாக ஒரு ரெஸ்டாரெண்ட் அமைத்திருந்தார்கள். தியேட்டரின் உரிமையாளர் சிதம்பரம், எந்த விழா என்றாலும் சிவாஜியைத்தான் அழைப்பார். இந்த முறையும் சிவாஜியை அழைக்க செல்ல, சிவாஜி ‘ரஜினியை வைத்து திறந்து கொள். நான் அவனிடம் சொல்கிறேன்’ என்றிருக்கிறார். அந்நேரத்திய அரசியல் தோல்வியால, இவ்வாறு அவர் கூறியிருக்கிறார்.



அவர் ரஜினியிடம் செல்ல, ரஜினியும் ஒத்துக்கொண்டுள்ளார்.

திறப்பு விழாவின் போது, எப்படியோ சிவாஜியும் வந்திருக்கிறார். ஆனால், மேடையில் அமராமல் கீழே வந்திருந்த கூட்டத்துடன் அமர்ந்திருந்தார். இதை கண்ட ரஜினி, அவர் மேடைக்கு வந்தால்தான் நான் மேடையில் இருப்பேன் என்று பிடிவாதமாக கூற, பிறகு சிவாஜி மேலே வந்திருக்கிறார்.

முதலில் மேடையில் பேசிய உரிமையாளர், தான் சிவாஜியை அழைத்ததைப் பற்றியும், அவர் ரஜினியை அழைக்க சொன்னதையும் கூறி, வந்திருந்த அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி தெரிவித்தார்.

அதன் பிறகு, ரஜினி பேசினார்.

”நான் கொஞ்ச நாள் முன்னாடி நிறைய படங்களில் ஓய்வில்லாமல் நடிச்சேன். தூக்கமில்லாமல் ஓடிக்கொண்டே இருந்தேன். மெண்டலி டிப்ரெஸ்ட். அந்த மாதிரி இருக்கறப்போ, இங்க, கமலா தியேட்டருக்கு ஒருமுறை வந்திருந்தேன்.

தியேட்டர் ஊழியர் ஒருவருடன் ஏதோ பிரச்சினையாகி விட்டது. கோபத்தில் அவரை அடித்து, இங்கு வைத்திருந்த கண்ணாடியை உடைத்தேன். வாயில் பீடா போட்டிருந்தேன். த்தூ... என்று துப்பிவிட்டு போனேன். என்னுடைய அன்றைய செயலுக்கு, இப்ப மன்னிப்பு கேட்டுக்கிறேன்” என்று அவர் பேசும் போது கூறினார்.

பிறகு, விழா முடிந்து சிதம்பரம் அவர்கள் ரஜியை சந்தித்து,

”எதுக்கு சார், இதையெல்லாம் இப்ப மேடையில் கூறணுமா?” என்றதற்கு,
