I didn’t recognize from the title “rettai kiligal” that it was this song...it reminded me of my childhood...would often listen to the tape that had this song... I remember the beginning especially, it always reminded me of waterfalls!
Yes Usha I found you can listen over and over to that song too =)
Thank you for your Telugu song picks!
From April 1 viduthala have heard Chukkalu Themanna...is it the more popular one?
Next pick would be Neejamanta
Ompula Vaikari and Chukkalu Themanna are certainly my faves of this album for me =)

Was surprised to hear Telugu version of Chinna Mani Kuyile with “Chalthika Naam”, still devoted to the Tamil version though.
Ala billi has a swaying back and forth feeling, oriental feel to the bgm as well. The violin pleads well with the flute to reply.
From Coolie No 1
Kila Kila was energetic and had a very good upbeat rhythm
there must be many more songs that the Maestro has used for more than one language...
I find it an odd but also pleasing to find you recognize a song in this case it's "Kotha Kothaga" which I know better as "Puthiya Poovithu Poothathu"still the treatment of it is different
In the Telugu version you hear the drumpad moreso...giving it a more energetic and modern feel...
In the Tamil version it opens with the flute...and what is that other instrument??? :? Like a staccato, oriental, quivering, sound...string? electronic? I know not. Please do spread some light on this query.
