Nothing much to do yesterday, I deceided to give a try at this movie. Suprisingly, the movie was entertaining (ofcoarse if you keep your brains dromant during its 2 hours run). Relaxed, I was enjoying Vivek's good and mokka jokes and one-liners. Its about a grounp of college students who accidently come across a "spray" (which they put in a 'baygon-spray-like-container') which makes you invisible. Haven fallen in love with a rich girl, the team helps the Hero to steal some 10000 crores and they suceed in doing it. They plan to go to Bombay to sell it, when, enters the CB CID officier Lal played by Vivek. His team of "joker" police go behind the teens to get back the money, tackling the secret Mottai Boss Mafia gang who are after the money too.
With 2 songs and 2 "funny" fight scequence, the movie moves swiftly with "n" number of flaws all the way. But those are things that put a smile on your face. The parts with the "invisible-man" are well thought about and taken quite good (given the budget). The team that made this movie should be appreciated for their attempt and given a proper upliftment, they can come out with a good one, or remake 10000 crores in a better way. Spl mention to Vivek to have accepted to be a part of this movie. His presence does motivate this young team.
A strict watch with no rules.

I would not come so hard on the movie, keeping in mind its genre. It did stick to what it wanted to convey. In this case its a winner. Its just that you are not into these type of jokes. For ex. The "mapillai" family having a coke bottle with poison written on it and sitting in the front row is not only a spoof but also conveys how bad coke is + how the arranged marriages are still practised in India. There are several scenes which also potrays the psycological tortures humouristically. And its a spoof, what else did you expect ?Quote:

A depressed wife, Emily, meets a psy, Dr. Banks, at the hospital just after recovering from her sucidal attempt. She agrees to cooperate with him if he helps her out of the hospital as her husband had just returned from jail and she needs to be with him. Dr. Banks agrees, thus begins the questioning hours between them and just when she is recovering the fateful thing happens : She stabs her husband. But she does not have any memory of it, and the side effects of medication she takes is blamed, as well as, Dr. banks for precribing the medicine. Resulting, Emily ends up in a psy hospital and Dr. Bank's carrier goes for a toss. And what follows are how Dr. Banks recovers from his losses, at the same time how he gets to know Emily more and how he takes her out of the psy wards.
The movie is neither intelligent nor brilliant, but quite clever. What makes it engaging is its executiong and the naration that makes viewers want to know more. Its a pure display of events as and when it takes place. The film's opening itself is a proof that nothing is hidden or myterious. Steven Soderbergh still keeps intact his pace in screen writing and his mastery with the camera. He holds our attention for the duration of the movie.
The second focus of the movie is on depression and the medications associated to it. it goes further tickling the derivatives market and its profits thru such kind of medications. Lot of theories and medical terms are used, but dont worry, you can skip them. Thats why I say this movie is clever that both informed and uninformed audiences can enjoy it.
Jude Law as the psy emotes quite well be it taking in all the burdens of a patient or finding himself between a murder in which he is not even related to. Ronney as Emily is perfect both as a patient and a lovely wife. Catherine does not get much screen time, but every scene she walks in, increases the pace of the movie. Spl mention to the bgm which is briliantly masked with the visual making it a character by itself.

Ethirneechal - Best for Sivakarthikeyan, he did well, I mean he was much better comparing to his other movies. The first half was not boring and in fact it was good. Second half was very much predictable and so it was not interesting. Valli's episode was inspired from Shanthi's...Priya Anand, OMG gorgeous :p .
