I'm not supporting fanatism here, but one need not pick on every word & statement made by some emotional fan and start dragging other stalwarts unnecessarily...

The irony is all those who termed IR initially as only a `nAttuppuRaththAn',`verum folk musician', `chummA dappAnguththu' etc. are now not even willing to give him that title...and want to stake a share / claim...funny...

Like Rajesh KRV, I too have a big list of old songs but that will prolong this needless argument here. If someone says IR is the best for Nattupura padalgal, I will vouch for it but if someone says that IR WAS THE FIRST GUY TO DISCOVER THIS , I STRONGLY CONDEMN . This humiliates all greats of yesteryears & am not mean for it

Its a dream composition & must have been a revelation to the listeners then :D
I heard it as I grew along with Raja music & amazed by the package offered by IR !

Its vintage IR stuff of the 80s !
