"jaanam dekhlo mitgayi" is my favourite song hands down!!
"Main Yahaan Hoon"

Udit's voice is just so velvety....can you say shivers? I can listen to this song non-stop :notworthy:
Another contemporary song that I love listening to repeatedly is "Suraj Hua Maddham" from Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham

I love the little insider treat hinting at the tune from "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai"

Time for a soothing melody again... to balm some pains, to sing a nice slow lullaby.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSo3KVwrp8M
Simply awesome lyrics. Lovely apt music, to match with the "emptiness" felt deep within.
Frustration which doesn't give way to anger but hollow nothingness, and then slowly the bottled up anger surfaces up. Pent up anger of a man, who is "unfit" to live in this clever world. Can anyone relate a tamizh song hich has similar lyrics portraying "frustration and a surge of anger felt within?" ?

yeh mehlon yeh takloon yeh taajoon ki duniyan
yeh insaan key dushman samaajon ki duniyan
yeh daulat ke bhooke riwajon ki duniyan
yeh duniyaan agar mil bhi jaayE tho kya hai!
yeh duniyan agar mil bhi jaayE tho kya hai
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai
...
nigahon mein uljaan
dilon mein udhaasi
yahan ek khilona hai insaan ki hasti
..
yahan tho jeevan se hai maut sasti
yeh duniyan agar mil bhi jaayE tho kya hai!
..
yeh duniyan jahan aadmi kuch nahi hai
wafa kuch nahi hai
dosti kuch nahi hai
yahan pyaar ki kadr hi kuch nahi hai
yeh duniyan agar mil bhi jayE tho kya hai
jala do ise
phoonk daalo yeh duniyan
mere saamnE se hata lo yeh duniyan
tumhari hai tum hi sambaalo yeh duniyan
yeh duniyan agar mil bhi jaayE tho kya hai!

A song from Malati Madhav (1951)
