Arvind, where did u get it from? Thats from Indhiyan photo shoot. Along with this pic, there were 2 more. In one, Kamal wears a t-shirt with the flag of UK printed on the back. And the other one is a close up shot of Kamal's face covered with wet sand, very similar to Mudhalvan Arjun.

In all theaters incl Multiplexes, there will be 3 speakers behind the screen, there are extra speakers at sides. But in modern multiplexes, the sound to speakers are directed according to the incident happening on screen. For ex, in normal theaters, if an arial shot is shown, a flight or helicop flies from left to right, the sound will be flat and same in all speakers. But in multiplexes, the sound will 'move' from left most speakers to right most, giving a feel of real world.
Now, if u just add a speaker on top of ur head, and use that again for arial shots, its Aura 3D.

Actually, even ardent music fans/sound fans, i've never seen speaking high/excited about these aural technologies inside theaters. Maybe iMax pOnra theaters la avatar/titanic pOnra padangaL paarthaal antha experience kidaikkumO ennavO!
Kuruthippunal i tried my best to watch it in devi theater and kind of missed just one day :( So enakku antha experience um kidaiyaathu! Those who watched KuPu in Devi(main screen) may share their experiences.

We shouldn't just stick to the current film. He might want to do this for his future project. So he's rehearsing it here perhaps. But who knows, the jet plane sequences could validate the usage.

I don't like this. If these are indicative of his aesthetic ambitions in the next phase I'll be sorely disappointmented.
It's not so much the karuththu itself. I am pretty much in agreement with his circumspection. But it is the very idea of Kamal commenting about this and putting this in the open. I generally have mixed feelings about the artist role as a society's conscience etc. oru mAdhiri touch and go-vA irukkaNum and predominantly through his art 'nu feel paNNuvEn.
geno, you are probably going to like his direct commentary on social issues. And I am probably wrong in saying that he will disappoint both of us.
