Thanks Ramki
This song along with the Shailaja's song used to be played too often when it was released Tamil new year 1981. Raja Parvai released at the same time had to take a back seat. Being an Ardent IR fan never enjoyed this song then, also after seeing the song on Oliyum Oliyum. However after few years I took a liking for the song including Shailaja's version.
Also, 1981 summer was the worst I felt as an IR fan, what with Kal Thoon, Palaivana Chaoli and 5 more movies released on May 1st 1981 (all were declared bos office winners/commission earners) took chunck of the air time leaving little for Raja Parvai and KAzhugu to fight for their recognition.
Thanks once again for a lovely song. My humble opionion is the song should have gone to SPB who would have created a magic...

sss :)
Balaji im surprised that rajaparvai songs were not played. I remember listening to andhi mazhai almost everyday, either in vividhbharathi or other madras stations.
I agree kazhugu songs did not get the air time they deserve.
Talking about kazhugu i watched 'sakkaLathi few' days back. IR has predominantly used 'kadhalenum kovil' tune as the bgm. I think
sakkaLathi was released before kazhugu.

1984 song Somebody' Watchin Me by Rockwell-Jackson resembles Selvamey (fantastic MSV song as good as Saathire Re)

is 'kadavuL ninaithaan manaaL koduthaan' from amarkaaviyam? It's a nice song as well. I have seen bunch of movies to gether, now I can't tell which song is from which movie :)

FM, I think its from Keezhvaanam sivakkum

Thanks T! yes I remember the kizhattu sivaji with toppai in that song :)

Hi..
Does anyone has the Keezhvaanam sivakkum song?? Songs were good and what a performance from Saritha. I'm not sure why Tamil Films could not hold on to such good artistes..

Thanks Madhu, natha1729
FM keezhvaanam sivakkum is a much much better film than amarakaviyam. Sivaji played his age and was superbly matched in performace by Saritha.
