Closest in recent years, where SR is full villain. Bad guy through and through, till the last part. Easy chemistry (I hate this word these days) with Sundar C.

Some parts funny, most part dull, and mostly watchable if you are Sathyaraj fan. Again, Sundar C is an okay actor for these types of film. He's not winning any National Award soon.

Having been critical in the past, I thought Santhanam was good here. More of Vivek mode than GM, I'd say.

It's bread and butter routine for those involved, ampuduthen.

Film is so lively, never makes u to feel bored & this one aspect I like in Manivannan's films.. he always had a right mix of humour & emotions in his films.. perfect commercial director :clap: :clap:

vazhkkai chakkaram has a opening song for sathyaraj .. "idhu kavunder veettu vayalu.. naan kaanam paadum kuyilu" .. he is involved in agriculture, then he the inspector of local station..

Yes, nice movie. Back then I watched it for SR-MV combo, of course now that I am a Gounderian convert, it have lot more going for it.

If not mistaken, this is the first film MV had important role in his own film?

I'm not sure Grouch.. I have seen "clean shaved" MV in "Government maapillai" (Anandaraj as a hero) .. MV shud have been more confident on his direction to have Anandaraj as a hero..
