Today we observed Nrusimha Jeyanthi at our home. I couldn't watch the program. All were busy today and I had to help them! :oops:
I could watch only the first 10 mins where Cho explained the term "PrAptham" that we often use in our conversation.

Since i did not watch it for past few weeks, i could not get who they are. Please let me know if you have any idea. Also the english word which Cho used. I couldn't get it right since it was noisy here. :(

I would like to share a piece of info which I came across. Since this is related to Karma topic, i would like to discuss about this here.

Well. Agree. Now my question.
In this whole world, there is nothing called "yet to be written". Every move of a human is already written that can never be changed. Obviously that means, it is written that X will commit a sin at one stage of his life for which he will suffer later (or may be in his next birth). He may have to take another birth to nullify his sins of this birth. Right?

To a question like 'Why does God give man this choice at all?', I don't think this answer is convincing enough. It sounds like a pretty sick/sadistic God to me who creates Humans (and the rest of Creation), throws them on the arena of the World, and then gives them rules - says what is good/bad - and gives the people this crazy method of Karma where he is punished for doing 'bad' (the definition of which is not easy for anyone who seeks to give a reasonably logical try) and is rewarded for doing good. Does God have fun with our misery?
Of course, not. To me, the answer is that the whole point of Creation is to have Free will and Choice. The very nature of the world is dual. All of creation thrives on this aspect. Any theology which (beyond a point) supports one side rather than the other, the 'good' against the 'bad', is fundamentally against the nature of the world, and results in rather alarming conclusions - like the 'war on terror', like jihad, like any other 'ethnic cleansing' that has happened across the planet for so many years now.
The constant interplay of the dualities, day-night, good-bad, right-wrong, love-fear/hate, is what makes the world imperfect, if I may dare to say, beautiful. Perfection can never be understood unless we understand imperfection. Creation can never fulfill its purpose unless the dualities play with each other, and the ultimate aim of a human is not take sides with one or the other, but to view it's beauty as-it-is with the dualities, and see it in entirety as the image of the Transcendent Non-dual mystery that lies within and without the world itself.
How does one know that every act of his is already pre-decided? There is absolutely no way to know this using ones mind. So this theory is best left alone, until Self-Realization dawns. If the mind accepts this theory, then we are left with no hope at all. The aim should be to use the present moment to the maximum fullest extent in realizing/experiencing/expressing the highest possible ideal of oneself that one has. Not be the 'good person' because one will be benefited in future births, not to refrain from 'bad actions' because one is scared what would be negative result in a possible future birth (all these theories don't exist anywhere but our minds anyway).Quote:
