Hi vElan: Thank you for the baldness cure. I am not really really bald (yet); but do not want to get totally bald! Am going to try your remedy! Wish me Good Luck! :)
By the way, there is a saying in one or more of the Indian languages that there is no remedy for jealousy and baldness!
good luck RD... my thoughts on this... usually they say honey will make the hair grey... but I guess being grey is better than being bald.
here is another tip

Reg. baldness :
I know two cases of my relatives who tried Rogaine & it worked w.r.t hair growth / control of hair-loss.
But, caused very bad side-effects! (One of them reportedly suffered significant loss of "maRRa" interest & it led to family problems).
Rogaine - Strongly recommended NOT to use.
OTOH, at one point of time, when another (close) relative suffered severe hair loss (would have become bald shortly), the following treatment was suggested by some and IT WORKED! I'm an eye-witness to this and so strongly recommend it.
Warm a small bowl of olive oil, add a table spoon of honey & mix a tea spoon of pattaippodi with it (cinnamon powder, costs < $5 for half pound at Sams club) to make a paste.
Apply this paste to the scalp / hair-roots / hair and let it do the magic for 15 minutes, before bathing (smells nasty when the person with this applied is around, I'm a nose-witness to this, so warn others at home).
There's a catch - you got to continue doing this week after week:-)
But then, if you want your hair, keep doing...when you're tired, go for wig:-)
Param,
The generic drug name is minoxidil (Rogaine is a popular brand in U.S. and sold in all pharmacy stores), look at this link :
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000883/
"That" wasn't claimed in the drug-side-effects but the fellow was pretty normal prior to this treatment  So, interpretation :-)
It does affect harmones and in the case of many women, resulted in growth of facial hair , in addition to thalai hair.
So, there is a possible connection to the gender-related interests...(interestingly, the stores sell male & female versions of this drug :lol2:)
boss... testeratone is the male harmone which is responsible for the 'things' and when testeratone runs high in ur body, hairfall starts.. so the medicines mostly try to control the testeratone level in our body to increase hair growth and u know where this balancing would affect...
I know, in UK they sell a product called Regaine, which has a certain dosage of minoxidil, and yes it does have some side effects. Apparently it promotes Estrogens (Female hormones) in men, while in women it promotes (testosterones), :shaking: " this will explain the reason behind facial hairs for females
Regarding Olive Oil treatment, some say Olive Oils makes your skin go dark, coconut oil is mainly recommended for hair, is it true or a myth? :)
