i still dont understand what is unanimous here - there would be atleast 2-3 people who have choice other than tendulkar for opener slot....

all questions directed at selection process neednt be taken personally because they are not intented to be so......

(assuming all ARs are medium pacers. Plus Aravinda, Sachin and Jayasurya are already there as parttime spinners.)

i was just looking for the criteria - whether it was greatness etc because in that case wasim akram with 500+ wickets demands automatic entry into the team as well......ok, now i get the basis for "unanimous" selection for sachin - as i said, i dont like to spoil the fun anymore

Plum, I vote for 2nd option. 1 good all-rounder is more than enough if we pick 4 good wicket-taking bowlers. And there are also some handy part-timers to fill in.
