Other day I was watching Vijay's Minsara Kanna and saw during the title roll "Thanks to Chandraprakash Jain" (Thalaivaa's producer). It seems he is associated with Vijay for long time.
Thalaiva ..... I am waiting for a treat from vijays.

My Guess is it might be based on Telugu Film "Leader" by Rana and shekar kammula.
Already they have denied that rumour.
The first look does look great and does a neat job at portraying what the movie might be all about... I personally feel this may be loosely inspired by Godfather/Sarkar. Not sure who else felt that way. Maybe a good meaty and a new kinda role for Vijay if ALV changes the script appropriately.

I think of it more of a teaser poster actually. Thuppakki's first look was excellent, with Vijay and the cigar. This poster just shows a shadow. Of course, it's excellent is upping the expectations but I really am looking forward to a poster with Vijay is shown fully and not as a silhouette.Quote:

Fantastic and mass title but it's value really depends on how movie comes out.
