With Uthama Villain (UV) going on floors , recently, actor-director Ramesh Aravind has roped in Parvathi to play the female lead opposite Kamal Haasan while actress Andrea will also have a part to play.
Ramesh, who is currently busy on the sets, confirmed this and said, “Yes, Parvathi is a fine actress and she fits the bill.”
When City Express spoke to Parvathi, she was excited about joining the team from March 15. She said, “You always look for a team which works differently. With the combination of Kamal and his team, Uthama Villain is a dream come true in that sense. Secondly, playing a similar character in all my Tamil films, I am getting to play a different role in UV. I cannot get into details about the film but it is definitely exciting,” said Parvathi. According to her, with a writer like Kamal, there is something unique that one can look forward to. “And with actors like Andrea, Urvashi, Jayaram in the movie, you have so many collaborators, and there will be a lot of give and take among the actors,” she said.

Why Uthama Villain team shifted to Chennai?
Kamal Haasan had planned to complete the shooting of Uthama Villain in various locations in Karnataka and the shooting was in progress at Bengaluru for the past few days. But out of the blue, the team shifted base to Chennai and it is now said that the shooting will recommence in the city.
Sources say that the decision to make a move was taken after the Kannada Producers’ Union threatened to stage a protest if the shooting continued in the city. However, there is no exact info on what provoked the protest.
But sources close to the Uthama Villain team say that the shooting was shifted to Chennai as per plans made earlier and there were no protest as claimed by a section of the media.

Rajini to do a cameo in Kamal’s Uthama Villain
Sources are rife with the news that Rajinikanth will be seen in a cameo in the Kamal Haasan starrer Uthama Villain. Both the stars had shared the screen space in several blockbusters early in their career but at one point decided to stop working to together.
For Uthama Villain, Rajini will be seen in a video conferencing scene. It may be mentioned here that Kamal plays dual roles in the film and Rajini will be seen talking to the character Manoranjan through video conferencing. We also hear that Rajini will appear as his own self.
may be true kaarthi. uv is about cine star, his raise and fall. they may keep a scene where kh and rk act in some movie set. they have several blockbusters together. i feel that would add to the flavour of uv.
