Vellam is supposed to be rich in iron. Churn some vellam & pottukadalai in the mixie; make ladoos or just eat spoonfuls of the protein+rich yummy mixture! Children too love it!
Yes, it's always good to deworm periodically... Greens are a good source of iron as well as Vit C...
Reminds me of my mom... white coconut chutney was rare in my home too... Mom used to add curry leaves/ mint/ coriander/ thuthuvalai/ vallarai to the chutney... Infact, they taste better than plain coconut chutney... She makes an yummy mooligai rasam using thuthuvalai & musumusukai... It used to taste heavely when I have a cold/fever...:)Quote:

Yes, ragi contains around 4-5mg of iron per 100 g... It is a good source of calcium as well...
