What is that rule? Was it not applied to the previous movies released?

If I remember correctly, this rule was for single screen theatres....multiplexes anyway run multliple shows in one screen. I remember some of previously released movies have had 80+ plus shows in Mayajaal. Not sure when this rule was applied to Mayajaal.Quote:

And Thuppakki is not listed in Mayajaal bookings. PP has 20 odd shows which means it will run in 4,5 screens out of 16. And there are other movies running too. Then how will they manage 60 shows for gun?
Yes - not sure when they will add the shows, given there is just one day left. Anyway, I have booked for entire family for night show here in Bangalore Inox. And I plan to go and watch in some single screen in the morning ;-) . Manoj and anyone else, leme know if any of you plan to watch FDFS in Bangalore.

However, sources say that Shobha Rani, who owns rights, has decided to release the film on November 13. Most part of the film has been shot in Mumbai.
Vijay is playing the role of a police officer and Vidyut will be seen as the terrorist. The film's music has been composed by Harris Jayaraj and Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer. This has become a benefit for the film as there is no big Telugu release for Diwali.

But from today Thuppakki has become hot in Andhra trade too. The reason is that Nagarjuna's Damarukam which was slated as a November 10th release was postponed and now the SVR Media is trying to get more than 500+ theaters for Thuppakki. Earlier Shoba Rani, owner of SVR Media said that they are planning to release Thuppakki in 400 + screens. Now the postponement of Damarukam will surely add more advantage for Thuppakki
