Let us take somethings in retrospect: RK did do more movies in 80's than in 90's than in 2000, so the MD's having to work with RK is relatively less as years pass by. After the debacle of Baba (the movie) at BO, CM was a low fanfare affair, but turned to be the magic golden goose. So with the hype/intensity and such a demand to produce a gr8 movie in Shivaji, ARR must be under lot of pressure, coz personally he might not loose at the end of the day (coz Music is a separate contract than Movies, nebody in show biz can explain better)
IR-ala music poda mudiyadhu appadinnu sollarathu is just bologne. IR will give his brand of music and his signature will be written all over it, that might not be the pulse of the audience, coz there is always a trend to compare IR against IR (which is a double edged sword), Damn IR brings back old types, Damn IR if he brings new innovative freshness to his style that does not appeal.
