hmm...i don't think this album is upto the mark. its pretty average. compared to his earlier works, this probably ranks pretty low. i think he should go back to his "traditional" (note that its within quotes) instruments as opposed to using a lot of synthesised techno sounds.

good songs are thottapuram, Illamai Remix and Theeyil Vizhundha...the rest is very blah...

Before ppl jump on me, they should know that I am a huge fan of him and spent more than $100 to go watch him in concert and have every one of his CD.( i even had my own fan website, which expired recently).

IMO though this album is satisfactory. I sincerely ask the other unsatisfied ARR fans to listen to this album 10+ times. This is what I did one whole day, now I cant live withouth the songs. I like all the songs!! So multiple listenings is a must for this album. But I was impressed with iLamai and innisai, after the first listening itself. Others, you need to listen more. I even like the kammakarai song, which IMO is the worst of this album :)

Will definitely do. I may change it after watching the movie (because a song that goes well with situation may not sound good when you hear alone) and I will definitely post my opinion again.

This album will certainly grow compared to SJS's grating presence & pic'ztn in Aa Aah. It has the breed for a better hit KSR's new style of Ajith's 3 diff roles,Title & Asin pair, RS's choreography. Will make all the difference.

njv, not "Shivaji".? Do you think "JOK" will have better songs than "Rajni-Shankar-ARR-AVM" combo? :evil: Let me tell here something. Latest Unconfirmed news from ARR YG says so far SPB -3 songs & Hariharan - 1 will be in Shivaji.

Honestly, I am getting a feeling now itself Water, RDB & GF is quiet enough for me. But The MAESTRO himself is kind enought to feed us 5 more What CAN I SAY,

2 in tamil,
1 - TLOR,
1 - Hindi
1 Provoked BGM..

then end product? Have not really catched my attention yet...but not too worry...even Rhythm gave me the same impression and we all know what happened to that album later!

Ilamai a sure hit among masses...
Innisai sounds like a challenge to Ra Raa than Kumari...not really ready to say this is better! On that front, even Ra Raa was only acknowledged for Jyothika pair of eyes on screen!
The rest....have not registered in my mind yet....will take time I guess..

But I would anytime embrace Ayutha Yeluthu, KM, KKS, New among the last releases of ARR....this ....mmmm only time will tell....
