When Vijay and AL Vijay film's title was announced as Thalaivaa there were reports floating around in net that the film is scripted with political backdrop but sources confirms us that the film doesn't have any political background and they also denied the reports that it is a remake of Shekar Kammula's Leader and to its contrast the film will be simultaneously released in Telugu. Sources said that the film will have lot of grandeur and gives a fresh image to Vijay, the portions which are to be shot in Spain will be something new and it is a major portion in the first half of the film.

Behindwoods earlier reported that Santhanam is all set to join Vijay in the recording studio to lend his voice for a song that will feature Vijay as the singer. Santhanam now has revealed that he will not exactly be singing per se but he will rather be talking to Vijay in the song. He says that singing is something that does not come easily to him and he struggles to get the rhythm and timing correctly.
It’s interesting to note that a similar style was attempted recently in Alex Pandian where Santhanam’s spoken word segments were interspersed along with the melodic portions of the song. Sources within G.V. Prakash’s camp though have revealed that Santhanam will indeed be singing, along the lines of what Rajini did in Mannan with ‘Adikidhu Kuliru’, and that the star comedian is just downplaying his vocal abilities.
Santhanam (On his song with Vijay) : It will not be a fullfledged song. I think it will be more like talking along with Vijay. I am not supposed to divulge more details as the song is yet to be recorded!
Thalaiva 2nd schedule started, a 50 days schedule which involves 3 fight and 2 songs ,plenty of portions in second half will be over by this schedule and then the entire team moves to Spain where major portions in 1st half is to be shot .Vijay in different look for Spain portions
