Not sure .. Havent seen any news on the release dates yet. I'm guessing its ready for censors. Dubbing portions must have been completed by now. Hope its much before the Aug 15 date .. sometime by June end and latest by July.Quote:

Haven't found any info. on the release date ... they need to capitalize on the trailer's universal appeal and get it out soon. I believe the 'hindi' version is slated to be out July 31st. This has to hit theaters before that ... it was completed around last year end.Quote:

According to the latest buzz in K-town, Kamal Haasan's Papanasam is likely to release in July
Papanasam is the remake of Mohanlal's blockbuster Malayalam film Drishyam and the film's director Jeethu Joseph has directed the Tamil version as well.
Papanasam has Gautami, Niveda Thomas, Delhi Ganesh, Asha Sharath, Charlie and many others to its star cast.
Sources say that the audio launch of the film will happen by this month and once the censor process is done, the team will be officially announcing the release date.
Papanasam is jointly produced by Wide Angle Creations and Raj Kumar Theaters.

Kamal Haasan's 'Papanasam' to Hit Screens on 17 July; Audio Release in June
The Tamil industry has been eagerly waiting for the release of Kamal Haasan's movie "Papnasam". Now a source close to the movie has confirmed that Ulaganayagan is aiming at releasing the Tamil version of "Drishyam" for Ramzan on 17 July.
Sources have also confirmed that the audio of the film will be launched by second or third week of June.
Interestingly, the Hindi version of the movie, which stars Ajay Devgn is set to release two weeks after "Papanasam."
"Since July 17 happens to be Ramzan holiday weekend, the makers felt it would be appropriate time to release the film. The audio launch is expected to happen in the second or third week of June," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
"Papanasam", which was entangled in legal trouble over copyright infringement, is the remake of Malayalam hit movie "Drishyam" starring Mohanlal. The movie is directed by Jeethu Jospeh, who was also the director of the original version.
In the movie, Kamla Haasan plays the lead character of Suyambi Lingam. Gauthami, who is also the real life partner of Kamal, plays his wife. The movie also has a star cast of Kalabhavan Mani, Asha Sarath, Nivedha Thomas, Anant Mahadevan, Baby Esther, Roshan Basheer, Charle and Delhi Ganesh.
The music of the film is composed by Ghibran, who composed song and background score for Kamal's "Uttama Villain". The composer is now expected to bring a completely new set of music for "Papanasam".
The team of "Papanasam" had earlier released the trailer and first look poster of the movie and both had received overwhelming response from the audience.
The dialogues of the movie have been written by Jayamohan. The cinematography has been handled by Sujith Vasudevan and Ayoob Khan has taken care of editing.
The movie has been jointly produced by Suresh Balaje, George Pius, Rajkumar Sethupathi and Sripriya Rajkumar.
July 17th and before the hindi release sounds good . Looks like they heard us ;)

Hindi started shooting about 2 months ago and ready to release July 31st. Trailer is already out with Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Shriya. And Papanasam was done around November last year and simply sitting there gathering dust.
