Thideernu makkal BO Mojo mela ivvalavu nambikkai veikkaraanga :lol2:
UPO details are not available in mojo at all. Do you think it would not have even collected $96?? (22nd film in that list)Quote:

I have a feeling that UPO collection figures were not released by the distributors - that could be the only plausible reason.
otherwise, the rest of the figures match the situation that was prevalent during each film's release here.

seriously NOV, im totally out of sync with this BO thingy.......i felt Eeram was one of the biggest hits of this year since it was running for a really long time.........i didnt like the movie - thats another thing,......Kandhasamy, Adhavan were real washouts IMO........i remember seeing tickets avaialable for Adhavan within 2-3 days........i really dont understand which ones were hits and which ones werent,.......hence i wanted to go with my contradiction for NAI2Quote:

sorry, if this is unwarranted. just felt like telling you. 8-)
Yes.... What happened to Eeram? I beleive that it should'Ve recovered the cost...

But where is the question? With big release one or 2 theaters it might happen. If it is a week day for any Actors movie except for Rajini and Kamal in Chennai it shd be the case. Of course the hit factor is not even half of what Ayan Had in TN...Quote:

Villu, Kandhasamy and Aadhavan shud be the worst movies of the year...
i watched Eeram in udhayam theatre after 1 month, week day night show...almost houseful... :?
And, its satellite rights sold to vijay tv for a record price 4 a low budget movie...
defintely not villu might be average grosser but kandhasamy thogh movie is not great due to very good hype and publicity the movie grossed well.aadhavan did very well tooQuote:

You know what type of movies are there. There are movies which they dont make it to run for long even with good crowds making way to Other movies. Eg.. UPO... (The collection they made within the run it made itself is quite big comparing the investment)
There are movies which initially does not do well but due to word of mouth picks up late and runs for more days. Eg. Eeram.. For such cases if the budjet is big under all possibilities it might fall under Average.. Since Eeram was not that heavily budjetted it should definitely go Hit way..
