'Maragada Veenai' as such is an excellent album, the title song also being very good. I think RS introduced this once and then uploaded the songs in his site. Later I was able to get the CD (Oriental Release). This album also has a Tyagaraja composition 'Sudha Madhurya Bhashini' which is sung by Raja's Guru Dakshinamurthy Swamy and by Janaki.
Janaki's other number from this movie, 'enai nee azhaikadhe' is a lovely number as well.

The movie has Goundamani playing Manorama's husband, btw, and that is the primary aspect I remember it by - he treats her much the same way he would anyone else - no deference to the senior aachi etc. Kicks, and slaps abound, although I think he just stops short of administering the full treatment.

the complete album of Anbey Odi Vaa was recorded wonderfully...you will get complete stereo effect. I am able to see the same effect as LP in remastered version for CD.
