Thalaivaa was Released on August 9th in Overseas and other States of India except Tamilnadu.. After knowing that the Movie hasn't got Released on August 9th in TN, the Fans of Superstar Vijay rose against the Government and went on to do Protests everywhere in huge numbers.. Police Force were sent by the Govt to Control them but they couldn't.. A College Boy from Coimbatore had Committed Suicide on the Eve of Ramzan(Aug 9) as He couldn't see his Idol in Big Screen on the Proposed Date! This incident has Really Shocked the Tamilnadu Government proving the Ultimate Power of the Star across the State.. Still they didn't Permit the Release of the Movie which had no other Reason to be Stopped other than Politics..
The Tamilnadu Govt even Started helping Piracy indirectly by allowing the Dvd Sellers to Sell the Dvd's of "Thalaivaa" inorder to Suppress the Movie totally.. Dvd's were given almost to every house to Stop People from Watching the Movie in Theatres when the Movie gets Released..
The Support for Vijay got increased day by day and once when the Government found that this issue would gonna affect their Vote Bank in the Upcoming Election, they became helpless and Permitted the Release of the Film..
And Finally, "Thalaivaa" got Released on August 20th(Tuesday). The Monstrous Fan Base of Actor Vijay has Proved that the Government was wrong and even the Official Spread of Piracy by the Government themselves cannot stop the Success of a Vijay Movie! They gave Thalaivaa, the Biggest Ever Opening for a Vijay Starrer and the Movie is Running Successfully in Tamilnadu now amidst the other Releases! The Government has no clue of what to do now since they tried almost Everything and Failed to Stop Vijay!
During the Course of time, One Man who was Calm, Composed and thought only about his Fans and the Producers was VIJAY! He didn't induce his Fans in a Violent motive and rather asked them to Stay Calm!

Vijay was awesome in this movie, as Cedyblue said it would be awesome if we could be half as fit as vijay at 40s. One of my friends has been intense in his workouts and diet and his inspiration was Vijay
That said, no offence to Vijay or Vijay fans - the movie was pure crap, except Vanganna song there was nothing in the movie that was interesting. AL Vijay has nothing to offer and this has been evident right from his first movie Kireedom. hOPE vj DOESN'T DO ANOTHER MOVIE with AL Vijay.
Hope he delivers with Jilla since I have no hopes on that movie because of the director NELSON - His first movie was Milaka corect?
