Lal charges not more than 2 crores. From whatever I heard, he paid the distribution fee minus his salary to RBC for Jilla. So its already a big win for Lal there. And a Vijay film not breaking even in Kerala has not happened for many many years now. Even Sura had a decent run there.

In Kerala, Thalaivaa grossed 5+ crore which was released along with 3 malayam movies which includes a movie of Mamooty..

Kaavalan did a good buisness in KERALA which was a remake of a MALAYALAM movie with a top star...

Lal's reason to act in JILLA!!! story - Director... Producer ?

Shanti complex,Janatha,Sri venkadeswara,Sri Cauvery - all 4 shows Adambakkam Jayalakshmi (2 shows each) missed in ticketnew for Veeram.
