Anyway, i don't think saree will ever disappear! :D
Talking about Sarees, the combined total of Sarees that both my Mum and Sister have is 136 and they are planning to buy some more. Although i hope the reason why they have sarees is to look different on each occasion they go, can someone explain to me why such a huge number of sarees is needed?
And on sarees, My mum looks at the design on the munthani to see if it fits the saree usually and my sister has the same taste as my mother. How do any other girls/women choose sarees? Oru explanation koduthaenge na yenodeiya future pondadiku saree vanga uthavum.
Hulkster :
It really depends on each woman's taste.
My mom and I like soft, light material. Even when we're shopping for silk sarees, this is the criteria we use. And, I like small borders. And, mundhanai is very important as sometimes the colour combinations may not be striking/matching. Some have beautiful pattern on the body but mundhanai would be very plain and vice versa......some people like white zarugai, some like it in gold...so it all depends really.....
So i other words the mundhanai must suit the pattern or colour of the body of the saree?
Yeah i too like soft, light material of the sarees as the thin and crass ones feel abit uncomfortable(im imagining if i wore a saree).
