Rangan, you give a new meaning to the expression, "Lost in Translation".

Nov, thanks for the lyrics. Until a few years back, I had memorised the lyrics.

Usually fast paced songs don't last in terms of popularity. Melodious ones do. But Adi Ennadi Rakkama stood against the time. Some of its part has been used in contemporary song, One vijay song, I recall, and the pallavi in a song in Chandramukhi.

There used to be an editor in a magazine I worked before. He is a Bengoli, Prasun Sengupta his name.

When talking to him about Tamizh movies, he sang this song!!!! He said the song was popular where he came from.

This song and Keetukoodi Urumi Mellam, you can see that NT is really enjoying himself there, and you want to go in and join him and the gals.

MGR, Sivaji Statues At Nadigar Sangam

The annual general body meeting of the Nadigar Sangam was convened on Sunday in which numerous Tamil film actors and actresses took part.

At the meeting, which was chaired by Sarath Kumar, president, South Indian Film Artistes Association, it was decided to erect statues for veteran film personalities MGR, Sivaji Ganesan and M R Radha.

Various resolutions were passed at the meeting chaired by Sarath Kumar. A resolution thanking all the artistes who took part in the star nite organized to commemorate the 75th year of Tamil cinema was also passed.

Later, Sarath Kumar, said, ''it was unanimously decided at the meeting to erect statues for MGR, Sivaji Ganesan and M R Radha at Nadigar Sangam. They brought respect and repute to Tamil cinema through their films'.

It was also decided to start an acting school in association with a University this August, he added.

Sarath Kumar made a plea to the members to donate a portion of their salary for the welfare of the association. Veteran artistes including Manorama, Vijayakumar, Sachu among others took part in the meeting.

Nadigar Sangam decided not only about the statues. They had decided to approach the CM and request him to allot another place for building the Mani Mandapam for NT. The present one alloted at Adayar [opp Sathya Studio] is having some issues and that's why they are looking for alternate site.

Is "Thirisoolam" a remake?

I have seen the Irandu kaigal song with 2 Rajkumar's (kannada) travelling in Jeep (same as Sivaji)

Yes Karthik(r_r). Thrisoolam was a remake from Kannada "Sankar Guru" starring Rajkumar. The only difference was, in Kannada the father character was done by somebody else and Rajkumar did only dual roles. In Tamil, NT did 3 roles including that of the father.
