ok, how do i choose saree: material depends on the occasion the saree is for and who the saree is for. if it's for my mum, silk, printed silk, kanchi silk, etc for parties and cottons for everyday wear. if it's for my sis, then georgette, chiffon.
design: i like embroidery very much, esp embroidery on chiffon. but i search for nice embroidery in any material, including silk and cotton.
then, i also like choosing the best out of the latest designs. it's very important to keep up with the latest fashion! but i also try to get sth that is of the latest design but slightly different from the rest, usually from designer pieces, so that one can stand out from the rest!
ok, can;t think of what else abt sarees other than material and design.
for blouses, i like to get sarees with blouse material included so that it matches the saree and i only like plain stitching of blouses, no windows, strings etc. but of course the blouse will have design matching the saree.
How abt crepe silk? U shud try it out atleast once.....its really gorgeous! :DQuote:

OK I think I cud give a tip here :) - wen u buy a cotton Saree, inskirt or even blouse, its sure to hav too much dye in it....so as soon as u take it home after buying, soak it in a bucket of water for a while, b4 u wear it for the 1st time.....my mother wud do tat wenever she bought cotton sarees/inskirts/blouses......let it loose the unwanted dye....cos if u wear it straightaway, the colour from the dye is sure to stick on to ur body.....:oops:Quote:

  Now I wish my future wife wud hav the same taste....! :DQuote:

Altho I dont really find neone here wearing blouses so ostentatious.....except tat they r rather a bit too low-necked at the back (even our maidservant wears them like tat! )
