azhagi : i'm not familiar with polycot sarees..what material is that?
In Malaysia, there's a trend among the Malays to buy sarees (the soft versions) and stitch them into 'baju kurung', which is their traditional dress ( along skirt with an equally long, loose top). I have made salwar kameez using some old sarees, which are of soft material with small borders. They look georgeus!!

Personally,my fav sarees are polycot sarees,they look decent and also stay in place....
Also bcos of their stiffness I doubt if they wud be freely adjustable wen u want to like, adjust the Saree a bit, now & then......
NM ... Polycot sarees are a blend of Polyester n Cotton ... with cotton being 80% and Poly taking the remaining 20% !
These polycot sarees come in various designs like Threaded P, Butta P, Plain P, Patch P, Block Print P !

NM, its polyester + cotton......my mother used to wear them but she said she later developed a sort of rash bcos of the rough/stiff texture of the material....!Quote:
