i was thinking Naresh Iyer would be better choice over Karthik & Shankar Mahadevan.... feel his silky voice will melt more better with that sweet tune of Ay Hairathe.... cant wait to listen to Guru in Tamil....!!! :d
The songs sung by A.R.Rahman in Tamil so far is excellent......so if A.R.R sings Tere Bina in tamil..............
Guru audio rocks!
November 24, 2006
A.R. Rahman creates magic yet again.
Mani Ratnam has evoked some of the maestro Rahman’s best musical works in his films and Guru, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, R. Madhavan and Vidya Balan, is no exception. The audio of Guru, owned and released by Sony-BMG, has been out in stores since November 18, and the music is simply superb.
Like all of ARR’s works, this one too takes more than one listen to grow on you, but when you do, you just can’t stop listening!
Keeping with the flow of the film, which is said to be the dramatisation of Reliance’s late boss Dhirubhai Ambani’s biography, Guru alternates between flowing melodies and period foot-tapping and mischievous beats.

Naresh Iyer would be is ideal choice since he and him shared excellent rapport from the Ah Aah, RDB days.
Not to mention he crooned for Varalaaru-The Godfather.

Here Mani confirms that Mallika sherawat features in "Mayya..." song...im hooked on to this song and really lookin forward to watch it in big screen.. judging by his words, the song should be really grand and a treat to watch...
Also the "ek lo.." song is similar to "Halla gulla" from Bombay in concept...
