The Tamil version of the song is in the movie Naastikan sung by Trichy Lokanathan.
I could not find a video clip. I think the audio clip is in Raaga.
The song deals with the partition of India.
I used to sing the Tamil version that goes like:

Qawwaali from Barsaat ki Raat(1960)
I listened to this qawwaali about 30 years back sung by a teenager after dinner in our place. We used to have dinner and singing those days! I remembered the line 'na to karavaan ki taraash hai'. Had no clue about the movie. Here it is from Youtube! :)
