He is saying that Rajini is not as rich as one would imagine. I also agree with that. Some politicians in TN make that kind of money in a week's time and some of them in day's time.

I agree but the general perception of the public is that actors are far more richer than politicians.. without knowing the reality :sigh2:

Yesteryear equivalent of RK, MKT struggled for finance during his later part of life (when there were no movies anymore and he didn't do proper investments when running high).

His progeny has only photographs of his car (none of their own) and they struggle for food, as reported in Thamizh weeklies. Lack of discipline, proper financial advisors etc, whatever the cause, the end results were disastrous. (People still sing MKT songs, watch haridas on TV etc and he "shines" that way, but that is not a reflection of how he ended).

Being a top star may get huge amounts, but it's one-time and not recurring. Also, taxwAlAs will be continuously after you. (If you properly show account and pay tax, he'll be already poorer by some 30-35% of that 30 crore, which is about 10 crore, you see).

I agree with you 100%. Rajini will never be in that situation because Rajini is intelligent enough to invest money in various ventures. That is why popular actors try to cash-in their popularity by joining politics.

It is not MGR. MK thiagaraja bhagavathar. MGR was cm when he died. I still remember MGR had 100 crores worth when he died and he donated everything. todays equivalent of 100 crores may be 1000 crores. But today even small ministers have 5-10 times of that money.
