thats only according to crapwoods who usually give low collection reports to every good movies especially vijay's movies.. and who the hell gonna care whatever the crap they post. Only you guys can rejoice it. Lol, as Ajaybaskar sir said, why the F___ they have to keep special shows weekend for the movie which garned only 35% theatre occupancy in chennai :lol2: ?
And behindwoods have manipulated the facts during the completion of 2nd week itself for nanban so we dont wanna give damn about their crap reports..
First weeklaya 40 Cr+ in TN alone, appavey mankathava beat panniyachu...!

Yappa pothum paa....intha mankatha vs nanban sandai.......
Bore adikuthu........Star power is not based collection of his/her movies
Moreover these things sounds dirty........Come on we need to expect quality movie from our stars(too) please don't rave about just remakes & other movies which is only taken for commercial profit..
I (once again)watched Bourne's series...what an amazing movie think it is been 10 years since the movie released but still stand out with quality.........If any of our stars does movie like that then we can have talk like this

@rockstar_kb Cool down.. kumaran chumma oru gilpukaga sonnaru .. seriousa eduthukathinga..!
Ajay anna :)
Reason why I posted that is to show what the official box office council report is. Earlier BM posted the UK opening collections for Mankatha (sum of adarsh tweets) and the figure was high. Appo ellam thaiya thakkannu kuthichittu ippo vera maathiri report kodutha udanae vanthu post pannura logic onnum puriyala. Konjam train track maaralam.. but U turn ah just like that podurathu ellam
I also don't understand blaming behindwoods now. does this mean they are ready to accept that the bloated figures from BW for Sura, Vettaikaaran, Villu etc are fake including nanban. I don't understand the logic AT ALL. Entha consistency um illa.. Athaan :)
and ippo SIFY report ah sudden ah namba aarambichutaanga.. Do they agree with the opening collection posted by Sify :P ?
Selva,
Typical fanboy mentality ellam edhukku consider pannikittu? Obviously, fans post reports which shows their star's film's collection is on the high. This has been prevailing either sides. Honestly, I thought BW reports were making some sense until I saw Nanban's report. In the last week's report they've mentioned that the film is running to packed houses. But the occupancy rate is 50%. Even for a lesser hit Velayudham, the occupancy rate was more at this stage. I do not claim that the site is supporting a particular actor but I believe that there are some hidden factors which tries to show that the collections are lesser for Nanban than a particular film. :)
And to be frank, I am sure even Mankatha's collections were shown lesser when compared to that film.
Vijay has been going around the State in his effort to prop up the box-office collections and ticket-sales of his latest release Nanban. The film, which has Jiiva and Srikanth as his co-stars and directed by Shankar, has been doing average business all over the State. Touted initially as a record-breaking film, the film’s collections started dipping sharply after the initial couple of weeks.
Vijay was in Madurai the other day and visited the cinema halls screening the film. He also found time to address his fans. Vijay took part at a function held at a hotel in Madurai’s Kalavasal and also interacted with a group of mentally challenged children from Shine School in K.K. Nagar. One of the students presented Vijay a drawing created by him.
Speaking to newspersons later, Vijay said at the outset that he won’t be commenting about any political issues and that it’d only be about films. Talking about multi-starrer films, he said that “I don’t have any hesitation in starring along side other heroes if I get a script as powerful as Nanban. I believe that the ‘script’ is the actual hero of a film. We (actors) only go by what the script says.
“I have a good rapport with Suriya…I won’t have any problems in acting with him together….we had already done Friends more than a decade back. If I get a good script, I’d consider starring with him again…at present, though, I’m focusing on Murugadoss’ Thupppaki; I’m sure it’d do well at the box-office,” concluded Vijay.

NANBAN ~ BlockBuster
http://www.mycineworld.com/2012/02/c...-03-to-05.html
Vijay is making use of the FEFSI and Producers’ Council stand-off to this advantage. The actor is waiting for the Thuppaki shooting to resume and in the mean time is making the best use of his free time. Director AR Murugadoss’s Thuppaki shooting has been stopped following the FEFSI workers going on strike.
Following this, Vijay will be seen at the theatres in Coimbatore and Thiruppur areas that are screening Nanban, his latest blockbuster. The Ilayathalapathy will also interact with his fans during this visit to get know their reaction on the movie.

Tollywood BO Report
2011 - BO Report
Out of 5 super hit movies 3 movies are Tamil dubbed movies.
1. Rangam - ko
2. kanchana - Kanchana
3. Journey - Engeyum Eppothum

Snehithudu - Nanban
Shankar`s Snehithudu has turned out to be an average earner at the Boxoffice. The film collected a share of 5.37Cr in the state for 1st week. Dil Raju got the rights for 7Cr NRA and overflow will be shared wit Gemini FC. As things stand now Dil Raju will be safe in the end and if the film picks up in the 2nd or 3rd week (like Rangam), since no notable releases are lined up, Snehithudu will be a Hit. But this looks unlikely and the film might ends up as an average earner recovering its investment.
