So, "Kaatrai Konjam" is the song BR had written about (Gautham had played a version before mastering) - cross between "Naal thorum" (Devathai) and some other song.

That is exactly the reason why I'm on the hunt for unused LP's. I'm in the process of acquiring a high end DSD/DXD audio interface to record the LP in its full glory. I can then play them in DSD/DXD or even down convert with a stellar quality. Even some of the albums from later 70's have unbelievable quality if you can get them brand new (unplayed old lp's). I'm very happy with the current interface which can do 192 khz. The DSD/DXD is in another league all together.Quote:

One potential source for "very less used but maintained well" LP records should be AIR...(that is if they cared to keep them in archives). If someone has connections, they may be able to "loan" them :wink:

சாய் பாபாவுக்காக ராஜா உருவாக்கிய பாபா புகழ்மாலையில் இடம்பெற்ற உன்னைக் கேட்டுப்பார்... என்ற பாடலைக் கேட்கும்போதெல்லாம்... இது ரசிகர்களை அதிகமாகப் போய்ச் சேரவில்லையோ என்ற சின்ன வருத்தம் மேலோங்கும். ஆனால் இந்தக் கூட்டத்தில், அந்தப் பாடலை ஸ்ரீதரும் அன்வரும் பாடிப் பாடி விவாதித்த விதம் அந்த வருத்தத்தைப் போக்கிவிட்டது. யாருக்குச் சேர வேண்டுமோ அவர்களை சரியாகவே சென்று சேர்ந்திருக்கிறது ராஜாவின் இசையமுதம்!

There was an Advertisement in Today's (Sunday) Tamil newspapers for AJANTHA (movie that is in cans for a looooong time).

I had been to a local show here in Toronto and Karthik sang in that concert. He mentioned that he is going back to Chennai for NEPV audio launch on Sep 2 and Sep 3. Not sure, which is the exact date as one day may be for rehearsal, He also sang a charanam of a song that he had sung in the movie...

In one of it he says (not verbatim) - Raaja, while speaking on stage (on some occasion), had commented about VS Narasimhan saying the latter is a very intelligent musician, someone whom he placed higher than himself. KB had also attended the function. The next thing that happened was VSN getting a call from KB to score for his film Achamillai achamillai.
