SoftSword, from when has TFI seriously taken into account "acting skills" of a particular person. Only their "crowd-pleasing" techniques are considered. And for "character" roles (the whole word is wrongly coined, that why I put in quotes), there are deep one, I agree, but most of the time they do not have much to play and its like anyone who can fit the bill.
I draw RK as an exemple. His performence in Avan Ivan, eventhough, unoticed was too good. His body language was menancing and the way he was rolling after getting beaten are note worthy.
Anyway, I do not mean that Srinivasan would overshadow Jayaprakash or Nasser, but still he would have become the 1st choice for any given film maker if he proves to be "bettable" in such roles. Maybe reality could paint a different version, and strictly speaking with respect to the above "photo", I do feel that he can shed his "nonsense" star-Power and get into the shoes of doing something that could redefine his "carrier". Why not, afterall there are people who wish to spend money to see him on screen !
