3. "pattu poochigal vattamadithaal katti anaikkum poochendu" - a song full of verve , joy, awesome vocal harmony from Maalai soodavaa

Senty: Are you talking about Aruvadai naaL? Prabhu falling in love with Pallavi, a nun (to be?). MD is IR. Dir GA Kumar. I think Sivaji movies produced this ( As always, I'll leave it for Saravanan to answer the minute details...:)

Sivaji Productions' Aruvadai Naal- 1986 ( saw it after my 11th std. Half-yearly exams!)Directed by GM Kumar.

Stg. Prabhu, Ramkumar (Sivaji's elder son, he too acted!), Pallavi, Rasi, Vadivukkarasi, RP Viswam. The story is set in Ponmudi village, Prabhu in the role of Muthuvelu, Pallavi in the role of Nirmala (the christian doctor) and Rasi in the role of Rajalakshmi (Muthuvelu's muraipponnu) play the main roles.

Raghu, I too am trying to gather details of the film Pokkisham. All I know is it may be a film dubbed from Telugu, it had music by Satyam, and it had another good song 'Kalyanam thirukkalyanam' (PBS/PS).

Mythila, I second your Vijayabhaskar list- perhaps you could add 'Iravil irandu paravaigal' and 'Idho un kaathali' from Soundaryame Varuga Varuga, 'Ilamai naatiya saalai' from Kalyanammam Kalyanam and ' 'Mohana punnagai oorvalame' from Uravu Solla Oruvan.

I think it was Mythila, who, a while ago, started discussing the song "Maragadha megam, mazhai sindhum, .... varum neram indhu; thirumagal vedham inge thirumaal padaithare ..." in this very thread. I forget the movie name. It was by MSV directing VJ and SPB(?). I guess I can retrace it from the archives.

I guess you must be thinking of the song "Poove..Ithu Kaatrin Geetham..Uyir Paadum Neram". I don't know which movie this is from. Happened to catch it in Oliyum OLiyum when it was released. I dont understand why I still remember this song, maybe it was the novelty of a guy falling in love with a nun..

May be "Maragadha megam" was by PS and not VJ?
