Like Thamiz said... Looks like USA is a HUGE setback due to cancelled premier shows and refunds.. And obviously the initial extreme reviews;..and also TN and KL numbers would have been massive, had those 2 shows not been cancelled. Anyway, I guess we will just have to wait this week and see if the movie at least breaks even in places other than US.
This is y I feel its unnecessary for vj to do a childrens film or try different things at this point of time ..mass films always a safe bet for him...if it a quality commercial movie then sure shot...critics kuda different attempt ha appreciate pannala...padatha bash panrathula than kuriya irukanga...
Aft all these disastrous reviews and bashing if a film managed to collect 100 crores gross...its a huge achievement...
Subject/ Story/ Screenplay and execution is very Important. Just because Its a Fantasy Genre does not make it any special. I assume that this is the fourth Movie for Chimbu under similar territory (Not the same Genre). With all due respect, The Movie had very few lively moments. I felt Vijay was Out of Place (Or rather the movie did not need VJ). I feel a Thupakki like different approach should be sufficient to please both his fans and General AudienceQuote:

People say it is 120 crore budget or something. Where all the money had been spent?? Doing CG work or what?? The big budget is the one which makes things to get complicated. If it is 120-crore budget it should make at least 160-crore (lifetime gross) to break even or not?
