First weekend box office: Puli rakes 64 crores worldwide!
Despite mixed reviews,Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Puli has performed extremely well at the worldwide box office. Except USA, the film has opened well in many territories but the acid test has only started from yesterday and already, there is a steep drop in the collections.
In Tamil Nadu, Puli has apparently grossed 31.5 crores in its four day opening weekend. In Kerala, the film has grossed 4 crores in four days while the Karnataka gross figure is 5.7 crores.
In Andhra and Telangana, Puli has grossed around 4.65 crores while in Hindi and rest of India, the film has grossed 5.80 crores. Considering the overseas box office numbers, the film is said to have grossed more than 64 crores (approx) at the world wide box office.

And its Never easy to fight against negative reviews and campaign;but still remain at top! Thats what Puli is doing now. Much better biz than most of the films that had positive reviews this year.

Agreed about the potential part though!but that applies for most films! I felt bahubali I too could have been way better! Esp bahubali...throughout the first half..even after manohari song...it wasn't that engaging..everyone was checking their phones!so rather than thinking it could have been better..maybe everyone can appreciate the movie as it is guys! Just my request! And We ourselves are saying it's bad since we r worried about what others would say!
