Whats the raaga "Konja Neram" (Chandramukhi) is based on?

'konja neram' starts like Malayamarutham but in the pallavi itself it seems to change. Not sure if you can classify the complete song as 'Malayamarutham'. The start reminds me of 'thenral vandhu ennai thodu'.

Nice melody but wonder why VS chose Asha Paati for this. She struggles a lot and consequently we do too.

"Thendral vandhu ennai thodu" is Hamsanadham right?

Was watching a Mohan Vaidhya veena concert in Jaya TV. Adhula adhe pattern la ("Konja neram") irundhudhu raagam, identify panna mudiyala...

Maybe I am confused here. You are right about 'tendral vandhu ennai todu' being Hamsanadham. I was probably thinking of 'kanmani nee vara katirunden' from the same film, which I think is Malayamarutham. Maybe I should listen to these carefully again before I comment :)
