"And the best song of last 60 years is..."
"Let the fearsome arguments, debates and disagreements begin! Legendary British music magazine NME is turning 60 and it has boldly declared what it deems to be the 100 greatest tracks of its lifetime. Given all the amazing music that’s been produced since 1952, the top 10 is flat-out shocking. While both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones are represented, neither produced the NME’s best-ever song. They didn’t even make the top 10. The number one honour went to…. Joy Division for their 1980 signature song 'Love Will Tear Us Apart,' followed by the curiously-popular-in-England-only band Pulp for 'Common People.'
Weirdly, both the Beach Boys and the Stone Roses scored two songs in the top 20 and yet Elvis Presley, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, U2, the Police, Prince and Adele are conspicuously absent. Here it is:
The top 20 tracks of the NME's lifetime are:

Page speaks about creating the 'Kashmir' riff. check out the childlike amazement and enthusiasm in edge and white's faces when Page explains them the riff - surrendering to the wizardry of the legend!

grouchy, does your dvd have this portion? the one that I d/l off the net doesnt have this; wondering if there's an extended version featuring such missing clips.
oh, btw, i'm kinda fine with White on this one; not really a fan of u2/edge; i'd have probably cast frusciante (ex rhcp) or chris broderick/marty friedman (megadeth) instead.
vsji, hard luck that the single unit version didn't work for you. have you tried these split versions?

Thanks KV. I could watch the first video where Page explains the riff. Superb stuff! Unfortunately next two links is not accessible for me. Same issue as before.
KV, can't remember, which portion you are taking about, the Edge one? Athu irukku.
And I agree that The Edge is an odd choice, he is more of a good technician, than a guitarist.
