Now the sources confirm that the director finalized Ragini Nandwani who appeared in Dehradun Diary and popular Hindi TV serial "Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein", we also heard that the actress joined the team for the shoot which is currently happening in Mumbai. Vijay trashes Hollywood star act rumour
Director Vijay, who is busy shooting in Mumbai for Thalaivaa with Vijay and Amala Paul, is surprised at the stories floating around about the film.
When TOI asked him if the news reports that a Hollywood star would be part of his film were true, he rubbished it saying, "There is no international singer featuring in the film. We are not looking at any Hollywood star for any such role. This is a figment of some people's imagination."
On the progress of the film, he says that they are shooting at a brisk pace in Mumbai and their next schedule, as reported earlier, would be in Spain.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming film Thalaiva has started making huge waves from the time first look posters were released. Now that the shooting is happening in a rapid manner, the latest minute is that director Vijay's elder brother Udhaya has joined the sets of Thalaiva now. The actor fled to Mumbai today shooting for this film and his details about the role has been kept unraveled.

A 74-member film crew from the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu will be flying to Muscat for the filming of a romantic thriller titled Thalaiva, starring Vijay and Amala Paul, in the first week of March, the line producer of the movie said.
"Being directed by A.L. Vijay, the movie will be shot over 36 days at various locations in the Sultanate. Two songs and a fight scene will be filmed," Renny Johnson, the line producer and executive manager at Mezoon Travels, told Times of Oman.
"The songs will be shot in one of the auditoriums in Muscat and in some of the hotels. We are also looking for a factory in which we can shoot the fight scenes," Renny stated, adding that some 20 artists will be selected from Oman—both Omanis and expatriates—to act in the film sequences.

THALAIVAA update - @gvprakash is finishing the last song
GV Prakashkumar , the young and energetic music composer has finished all the songs for Vijay's Thalaivaa. There are totally five songs and two themes for Thalaivaa and GV Prakash kumar finished the last song by today. Among the five song Vijay and Santhanam sung one song and to our surprise it is said that GV Prakash also did a cameo in one of the five songs.
Sources close to Thalaivaa unit say that the songs are really outstanding which will be the best in Vijay and GV Prakash's career. Especially the two themes has come out really well said the source. Mean time Thalaivaa team will be moving to Australia this week for completing the last schedule. Thalaivaa is being directed by AL Vijay and has Amala Paul,Ragini Nandwani.Sathyaraj and Santhanam to its star cast.
