Director Nesan said in recent interview that still many inportant scenes are to be shot and only once the shooting is complete that date can be anounced..also Mohanlal took a 2 week break from Jilla shoot due to health issues.. he will be rejoining the sets on 25th only..Quote:

Thanks Uday and Vinod for the info. But Naesan had/has so much time...The shooting for Jilla started in April-May right?. But with an ensemble cast and MohanLal Sir's health concerns, can understand the reasons.
Only one movie in 2013, which is slightly disappointing. At least there should be a festival release. Lets see.

Bulgaria, otherwise famously known as the Land of Roses, will play host to the crew of Vijay’s Jilla very soon. The unit is presently working away on a grand climax fight in a studio set erected in Hyderabad, after which the unit along with Vijay and Kajal will travel to Bulgaria to can a couple of songs.
The director reveals that they have shortlisted nearly 9 locations for the songs and will take the final call on which they will use once they land there. Going by the speed of Neason’s work it appears that the crew is working briskly to have the film out for Pongal 2014. If it does indeed come out then it will be an interesting proposition as it will lock horns with Ajith’s Veeram
