Can someone suggest best seaside restaurants in ECR? Food type should be Indian, Veg and Non-Veg?

If budget isnt a constraint, then Fisherman's Cove..

Basera is good too. Basera Menu

There is also a Delhi Dhaba (not seaside though) near the junction which goes to Sholinganallur.

There's enough stuff for veggies at the wharf. naan pala thadavai pOyirukkEn.
Outdoor, seaside-la adhaan best.

But if you don't want to go that far I suggest: 9 feet high at Neelankarai. Rooftop, view of the beach, breezy. Drinks irukkum. Family allergy-nA prachanai.

La Waterina in Kottivakkam has a rooftop beachview restaurant. Seafood evvaLavu siRappA irukkumnu theriyAdhu.

Thanks all, had at MGM Restaurant. No comments...jimply waste! Somehow we reached there around 9:40 Pm as it was a busy and tough day at office. Ladies in our gang banned alcohol ( but asked many doubts about liquor, romba mukkiyam ) and so struggled to swallow the food. No varieties, non-veg items are poor, kabab-aya adhu? kabab-na ennanu theriyuma unakku? :evil: bad desserts (one laddu, one custard stuff) but 700+/- per buffet. Only better thing was the ambiance, as it was close to sea.

check out Lydie's next time if you aren't bent on ambiance..was started by a Belgian lady...continental food+bestest dessert on that ECR stretch.

If someone has not mentioned it already - Cream center is a good option for pure veggies. Lots of varieties. Bit costly.

Another problem was that the food was placed not in an even place. For taking certain items u need to climb up few steps, few items are placed in kothagiri bend..valanju nelinju poga vendi iruku :|

Madurai Appu has the worst service among NV hotels in Chennai. I have not gone to Valluvarkoattam branch though. Both Mogappair and Valasaravakkam branches sucks!!

The funny thing is, till April there was a bistro there. Very funky looking youth-hangout place. Never really took off. naanE pOgaNum pOgaNumnu ninaichuttu irundhEn pOnadhillai.

Then I was away in the US for about 5 weeks. thirumbu vandhu pArththA adhE idaththulaa Madurai Appu :lol:

Went yesterday! Superb boss.. :thumbsup: Lot of varieties including North Indies, Mexican etc, semma! :slurp: .Ambiance is pretty good too. Yes its costly, but worth of it. A must visit.

** Small and Medium budget Restaurants (Veg or Non Veg)
** Textile shops for purchasing semi-formal, casual shirts and T shirts in a reasonable price

Suggestion 1: Don't go to Chennai
Otherwise, the concept of small/medium "no-frills" eat outs is nearing extinction. Murugan Idly kadai is the new "Small" na paathukkungalen :lol2:

Anna Nahar main road (after Blue Star) Karthik tiffin center irukkum. Ippo metro'naala adhellaam irukkaadhu nu nenaikkaren. Heard Brilliant Tutorials vandi in T.Nahar is back.

Usually i shop for clothes at Lifestyle. Ippo recent-a Shopper's Stop la pannen. Waves nu oru kada irukku Anna Nahar but i'm not a big fan. You may want to try it though. Other Chennai hubbers may provide more/better information
