Add in 2 cups(500 ml) water, salt. Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
Let the pressure release. Let cool & blend to make a fine puree.
Pass through a sieve(with big holes) & heat the puree again. Add in 100 ml(or less) low fat milk, sugar-to taste. Once heated through, take off flame.
Serve with addl pepper/salt & toasted bread-cut into small pieces. Add the bread pieces one by one as u drink the soup coz unlike bread croutons, toasted bread will not hold shape for long.
Note: Milk, sugar is added to make the soup less sour. So add according to ur taste.
Recipe adapted from the blog 'onehotstove'. Thanks Nupur for the wonderful recipe :)
Selvi,
if u r interested, u can add the soup to ur party mmenu. it'll go well with garlic bread. It's very easy to make also.

K, sugar is to balance the sourness...just a lil bit will do... but it's purely optional... I like a bit of sugar in my tiffinn sammbar, rasam, pavakkai kuzhammbu, cori chutney(w/o coconut) etc... so I like lil sugar in my soup too...:D

Kugan ka , I hope you read all the tips in 'Healthy living' thread
thanks
Kandippa tamby, I have learned a lot from your discussion.
My only weakness is coffee and sweets as Dev said.
I fast so many days, tuesday, thursday, friday and saturday.
In between, ammavasai, pournammi, sasti, prodosham and things.
All these days only mid day meal, night 1 fruit, 1 glass low fat milk.
Most of the days there will be visitors to the house.
I have to make dessert as one item.
If its not a fasting day, my diet finish.
These are hurdels to my dieting.
Anyway I am going on. When I see Dev and Madhu writing
their diet menu for the day, I feel guilty and feel strong
to go along with them.
Thanks Dev and Madhu for the inspiration.
Keep writing tamby, your tips are very useful.
Thanks. Kugan98

Even I like sweets, but my favourite food items has to be extremely hot :P ..
Most sweets will not convert food into energy like hot food (chillier) ... quickly hence the chance of storing the energy is fat.
Drink warm water frequently... water should be consumed at body temperature level for effective digestion. I.e. 37 degrees Celsius
