speaking of website pics on sarees the other day i got a link about new blouse designs....besides i think two pics all the others had the pallu twisted around their arm...so that the blouse could show....what's the point then? All the blouses are sooo high and have windows, strings, gems. mirrors...sometimes it really takes away the elegance of the saree itself...so it looks dowdy...and one or two or those beads, gems fall off will you wear it again? my seamstress is always going on about why you so plain...wasting money on simple sarees  Though sometimes I kinda feel left out cause I never know what the latest trend is...i just buy what i like whatever the trend is...but you know people always have to comment that you are not conforming :?

is this what you mean by crepe silk Lambretta?
I thought crepe meant flat pancake french style :P kidding i really thought for some reason that crepe meant it would be the crinkled/crushed design...anyways here's link showing what the fabric looks like:
http://www.baronboutique.com/crepe.htm
Q, actually only the white and dark red saree looks nice in that first site. the rest are not really that nice! and can u actually tell how the fabric will look from the pix in the second site? i can't really.
and i think most of the sarees on sale online don't look nice. they have much nicer designs in the store and also you can't tell properly abt the saree from a pic on the net.
digr
Lamby: Last week I was in UK and guess what I saw? I saw an old dabba Triumph parked in a car park, the next time I go, I'll take care I carry a camera and see if I can sneak a picture in for you :)
end digr
Actually Fire i didn't post that site for the sarees per se, nor am i advocating buying those or other saree online I was rather pointing out the the fabric that Lambretta kept referring to, I don't really like any of them...really you can't tell the difference between the crepe silk and say chiffon/silk/nylon/satin? Of course you can tell better in the shop...I'll put up an advertisement for hubbers in sampling a variety of fabrics the moment I open up a store of my own  :PQuote:
