We have lost a pokkisham! :cry2:
Absolutely. Expressions starting from sadness to enlightnment thorugh visits of Arupadai Veedu brought before our eyes in an amazing/heart melting manner. Nadigar Thilagam is unparalled and we have to search for words to praise his, living the roles.
Today I watched Avanthan Manithan in DVD and resultant feeling cannot be expressed fully. "Aaatuvithal yaroruvar Adatharae Kanna" is the sample for the entire movie.
அது அழியாத பொக்கிஷம்.Quote:

Thanks Karthik for retrieving that post on Engirundho Vandhaal.
tac, all that you have pointed out are vintage stuff.
Welcome back Tamizh, especially to NT thread.
tfml, nice collection of songs cum film names.
NOV, you are 100% spot on. The same thoughts used to cross my mind whenever I see the song. Even the movie if you watch it now, check out for the body language. The character from a up right professor would change to a serious lover to a saint and to a worker in the mines. It was an amazing display and again and again I have to state the same dialogue (ie) the variety he showed in calender year 1964.
Karnan
Pachhai Vilakku
Aandavan Kattalai
Kai Koduthha Deivam
Puthiya Paravai
Muradan Muthu
Navarathiri.
Add to it the fact that Annai Illam preceded Karnan and Pazhani succeded Navarathiri. What a range! NT always proved that quantity and quality can co exist. Thanks for the song. Because of this, I took the opportunity to watch my favourite "Amaidhiyaana Nadhiyinile" again from the same You tube page.
Regards

it was shot in front of arupadai veedu (six temples in different locations). so definitely it might have taken some months or weeks or atleast some days to shoot the complete song..., but how he is keeping the continuity....??.
ooh... each and every frame, this man is amazing yaa....
Tomorrow night in 'Sun TV' at 09.30 in 'muthaana thiraippadanggaL' series.....
Dont forget to watch.... a gem from NT's golden era (1972)...
'DHAVAPPUTHALVAN'
Staring: Nadigar Thilagam, K.R.Vijaya, Cho, CID Sakunthala, MRR Vasu, Pandaribhai, K.Kannan.
Music : "Mellisai Mannan' MSV
Direction: 'Muktha' Srinivasan
Lovely songs.....
'Love is fine darling when you mine'
'ulagin mudhal isai thamizisaiyE'
'kinkini kinkini kini kini ena varum maadhaa kOyil maniyOsai'
'isai kEttaal puvi asaindhaadum'
Nadigar Thilagam as 'Christamas thaaththaa' and 'the great poet ThaansEn'.
Dont miss to watch.
You are perfectly correct mr_karthik: this is one of the movies where NT played a varied role in one movie. A professor, a lover and a man who seems to have lost all. He beautifully narrated all characters in the movie.Quote:

A fabulous scene in which NT proved that he could convert a simple munching/chewing scene into a memorable one. A great actor with an unparalleled talent!!
Another reason why many NT fans liked this movie (at least in Madurai): a beautiful NT-devika pair.
Can someone write a review about this movie? One of the good NT movies that I haven't seen so far.Quote:

BTW, y'day by around 8.45 pm watched a movie in Raj Digital. Missed the title and a few scenes. The film had NT, JJ, Major, Nambiar, Balaiah, SVS, Chandrababu, Nagesh & others. It seems to have been made in Geva color and NT, sporting a wig looked handsome in a Turtle-neck T shirt.
Major, alongwith his 2 sons, NT & Nambiar lives in a big boat house. JJ gets refuge in that boat and she starts narrating 3 different stories about her life to the three of them. Obviously, each flashback has got different actors. First story had, SVS & other, second - Balaiah & Chandrababu and the third Nagesh.
Can anyone please tell the name of the film.
