Mr. Karthik...DVDla faster Fast Forward features irukirathunaala, I just forward them. Those scenes may have been relevant and fun those days, are dated now. But NT's and the other important scenes still hold hold up to this day. I'd love to have your copy of Superfast Kattabomman :D

:lol: More than a decade ago, we did audio recording of Manohara spoof. My friend did all the voices, and we had this little toy piano thingy. So, for scene transition I am tasked to do the Drroooing sound running the finger across the keyboard. :lol:

After long years, I was fortunated to watch 'Marudha nAttu veeran' last night, which I saw previously in my childhood.

A beautiful movie with NT and Jamuna paired, in which NT comes in somany getups.

Honey drop songs like 'paruvam pArththu arugil vandhum vetkamA?' and 'vizhiyalai mElE vinmeen pOlE'. (wow, TMS-ku enna oru voice).

another good film, dominated by 'pa' series movies.

Yes, you got it..

During 1961, 62 many good (and normal) movies of NT, went unnoticed due to the domination of 'pa' series movies that came under NT-Bhimbhai-VR alliance. Punar jenmam, vaLarpiRai, chithoor Rani Padmini, ellAm unakkAga, aRivALi, marudhanAttu veeran are some among them. Because, as somebody (murali or saradha?) said here, public at that period measured NT films with the scale of 'pa'series movies. Very few, like Alayamani, balE pAndiya, nichaya thAboolam etc escaped from that scale.
